My name is Andrew Stokes, I am 26 years old, and for the last 5 years I have had the great fortune of calling London my home.  I moved to Camden after graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2005, and immediately fell in love with city for its contrasting qualities.  Historic landmarks stand alongside modern skyscrapers, bustling streets surround tranquil parks, and expensive boutiques line streets filled with market stalls. 

By chance, I stumbled across photography at about the same time.  I invested some savings in my first digital SLR camera, convinced that such an outlay would encourage me to visit parts of the city that I wouldn't otherwise see.  I was right! It's amazing how many things would pass you by if you weren't looking through the lens of a camera.  Since then my passion for photography has continued to grow, and I recently decided to create a simple website that allows me to display some of my work.

Some people specialise in a particular genre of photography; portraits, landscapes, architecture, but I predominantly focus on 'the things I like'.  I find that provides me with a broad enough scope to stumble across the occasional good picture!
